Chelsea have signed Atletico pair Diego Costa & Tiago, Mourinho also wants Filipe Luis [El Confidencial]

Spanish broadsheet El Confidencial report today that Jose Mourinho met with super agent Jorge Mendes on Wednesday and discussed which Atletico Madrid players are heading to Stamford Bridge this summer.

The El Confidencial piece, written by Jose Felix Diaz, is titled “Mourinho wants to build Chelsea in the image and likeness of Atletico Madrid.”

Having been eliminated in the Champions League semi-finals by Diego Simeone’s side, Jose Mourinho has decided to build a similar side at Chelsea.

Deals for Diego Costa and Tiago, the former Chelsea midfielder, are done.

There have been numerous reports that Costa will join Chelsea this summer for quite a few weeks now. The news that Tiago will return to the Blues was broken earlier this week.

El Confidencial add that Mourinho is keen on Atletico left back Filipe Luis, who was so impressive in 2013/2014. The Brazilian has a 24 million euro release clause, which Chelsea consider “affordable.”

Finally, Jose Felix Diaz says Chelsea have offered Thibaut Courtois a new contract, with his deal at Chelsea until 2016 – so far the Belgian keeper has not responded.
