Man Utd ‘consider selling Juan Mata to Barca’ months after he joined from Chelsea

Manchester United are ready to ditch Juan Mata less than six months after signing him from Chelsea, according to reports in Spain. Continue....

The 25-year-old is a target for Barcelona as they seek to rebuild under new manager Luis Enrique, claims the AS newspaper.
Barca are said to be considering a £40m bid for the playmaker, who cost £37m when United bought him in January.

Incoming United boss Louis Van Gaal is thought to be ready to listen to offers amid fears that he won’t be able to accommodate the Spaniard in his starting line-up.
The former Barca boss is set to play Wayne Rooney behind Robin Van Persie and would prefer direct wingers.
He would probably invest the money from the former Blues star’s sale to fund an upgrade on United’s flanks.
Mata has admitted things have not gone as he wanted since he moved to Old Trafford.
He said: “The first six months of the season were difficult because I did not play as much as I would have liked. But I always respected my team-mates, tried to make the most of the opportunities I had and nothing more.
“In the end there was the opportunity to go to Manchester United, a great offer, and the club also understood that it was a good choice. So the transfer happened.”
